Paula has been practising and studying yoga since 1991 and began teaching in 1999. She trained in Melbourne with senior teacher Mark Gibson and studied with the Iyengar family in India.
Paula has been teaching yoga fulltime in studios and work places in Melbourne for the last ten years. She has re-established her teaching practice in the Bega Valley where she enjoys the energy of the land and community.
She is grateful to all her teachers for their guidance both on and off the mat, and for this precious opportunity that has enabled her to explore life through yoga. Her approach to yoga is simple and uncomplicated. Initial focus is on the physical practice of asana (posture) and pranayama (breathing). Through these doors we are given an opportunity to explore both the vibrancy and the silence that lies within. Both dynamic and restorative sequences are taught resulting in strengthening of body systems, releasing of tensions and enhancing the mind body connection to experience true freedom and peace.
Students are encouraged to work at their own pace within the framework and support of the group.
