The word Ki represents ‘Vital Life Force’ in Japanese. Ki Yoga is a development and fusion of the inspired work of Japanese master’s Mahashiro Oki and Shizuto Masunaga. Ki Yoga stretches and strengthens the physical mass and the ‘meridians’ – energy pathways – of the body, inspiring health and harmony. Ki Yoga, a dynamic yoga, changes seasonally to bring harmony and support within ‘for nothing in nature is static’. One of the main focuses of Ki Yoga is the building of foundations strength in the hara (lower belly) and lower back to support you from the inside out.

In search of modalities to assist her recovery from a chronic health condition, Fiona discovered the profound effects of yoga in 1994. After four-year’s of Indian Yoga exploration she was introduced to Ki Yoga. Amazed by her improved wellbeing Fiona embarked on the journey of study to become a Ki Yoga teacher and Zen Shiatsu practitioner. From 2001 – 04 Fiona was co-director/owner of Breathing Space a Zen Shiatsu clinic, Ki Yoga Studio and annex college. Fiona and her two beautiful children have lived in the Bega Valley Shire since 2004. Fiona believes Yoga is a sanctuary.
