Annapriya

Annapriya is trained in the Satyananda tradition and is a member of Satyananda Yoga Teachers Association. She completed her teacher training at Mangrove Mountain and Rocklyn Ashrams in 1992,and attended the World Yoga Convention in India in 1993.

Annapriya teaches a general class of wholistic yoga including Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath practices), Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation) and Meditation. Focusing on improving physical strength and flexibility, expanding the breath, creating mental and physical relaxation and enhancing our awareness of the mind body connection. Yoga can lead to the path of self-discovery and our connection to nature.

Classes are suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and health concerns, focusing on meeting the health needs of the whole person and supporting home practice. She feels yoga is a life skill to help you manage your wellbeing and create a balanced lifestyle.

Annapriya has been teaching yoga in the Bega Valley since 1997. She lives with her family on a property on the Pambula river and sees the animals and the natural world as one of her greatest teachers and inspirations. Annapriya holds a meditation gathering  “Sacred Circle”monthly according to the moon cycle.She is also available for private yoga therapy sessions and is certified in Australian Bush Flower Essences and Reiki healing for both people and animals.
